When we initially looked at the breaker box we found a 100 amp breaker box and a sub panel. It is located directly under the kitchen sink. We had thoughts of moving it, but that would require relocating the meter outside – increasing costs.
We also noted that when we started adding electrical items to the house – big screen TV, Microwave, Electric Stove, Electric Dryer, etc, that this box was too small. We consulted with our Licensed Electrician and we could upgrade to a 200 amp box which would be more than ample, but costly. Or we could stick with a 100 amp breaker box but increase to 30 circuits, which is what we finally settled on. This should be able to handle all the electrical needs of a house of this size.
